We are working with a leading global organisation within the financial services sector to recruit an experienced Desktop Engineer for an on-site contract role based in London.

This position is hands-on and user-facing, providing high-quality deskside and walk-up IT support in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second line desktop support for Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Deliver deskside and walk-up support via IT support desks or tech bars
  • Support laptops, mobile phones, iPads, peripherals, and meeting room technology
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using an ITSM tool such as ServiceNow
  • Support onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and user inductions
  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting and escalate issues when required
  • Maintain build rooms, stock rooms, and assist with device decommissioning
  • Support desk moves, equipment refreshes, and floor support when required
  • Collaborate with wider IT teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours or weekend support when required

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum two years' experience in a Desktop Support or Desktop Engineer role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Experience supporting corporate mobile devices including iOS, Android, and iPads
  • Strong customer service and face-to-face communication skills
  • Experience working in a corporate or financial services environment preferred
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
