Head of Information Technology

I’m working with a Housing Association to recruit a newly created Head of IT. This is a pivotal role created as part of their shift towards greater digital maturity and a stronger focus on both Data and Technology.
This is an opportunity to modernise legacy systems, improve how data flows through the organisation, introduce emerging technologies like Ai & ML, and build a culture where IT enables colleagues and customers.
As Head of ICT, you will take full ownership of:
- Infrastructure & architecture
- Cyber security strategy
- IT operations & service delivery
- Systems, integrations & application landscape
- Emerging technologies and AI
- Technology roadmap aligned to customer strategy
The role is about modernising culture, improving digital confidence, and helping long‑standing teams embrace new, agile ways of working.
You’ll lead on the shift away from legacy processes and help create a modern, agile, user‑centric IT function that partners with the business, rather than directs it.
Along with setting the vision, defining the roadmap, and influencing how systems, data and technology evolve over the next 5 years, you’ll bring fresh ideas that help colleagues and customers get a better, faster, safer experience.

The salary on offer is circa £75,000 with a great benefits package
This is a hybrid role, with 2–3 days per week onsite in North Yorkshire.
