Business Analyst
ACRO Criminal Records Office is seeking a highly capable and proactive Business Analyst to join the Continuous Improvement Team. This is an initial 6-month contract position based in Whiteley/Fareham and the role will be based onsite, the hourly rate for the role is £20.93 per hour + holiday and benefits.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Support the delivery of digital transformation, process improvement and optimisation initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders across all levels to gather, document and analyse business requirements, processes, and workflows.
- Use advanced data collection and analysis techniques to identify inefficiencies, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce high-quality reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Oversee analysis deliverables and ensure changes are governed appropriately through formal change control.
- Liaise with third-party vendors to ensure system changes align with business needs and organisational objectives.
- Track project milestones, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting on risks, progress and dependencies.
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing business processes.
- Contribute to business cases, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and resourcing.
- Provide mentoring, guidance and support to colleagues on analytical tools, methodologies and best practice.
- Support senior analysts and project managers in planning, stakeholder engagement and delivery of complex change initiatives.

You will bring strong analytical capability and a passion for improving processes and services. You will also have the confidence to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
Essential:
- Educated to QCF Level 4, or equivalent experience at this level.
- Professional practitioner-level qualification in Business Analysis (e.g., BCS Level 4, International Diploma in Business Analysis).
- Significant experience in a Business Analysis or similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven stakeholder engagement experience, including facilitation of workshops and requirements gathering.
- Experience supporting digital transformation or major change initiatives.
- Proficiency with tools that support workflow optimisation, process mapping, analysis and reporting.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
