Deployment Engineer

Robert Half Technology are assisting UK's market leading financial services organisation to recruit a Windows Deployment Engineer on a contract basis - London based

Role

• The Windows Deployment Engineer will design, build, and maintain Windows-based deployment solutions for applications, OS images, and updates
• Deploy and manage Windows OS images (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
• Automate deployments using tools such as SCCM/MECM, Intune, MDT, PowerShell, or similar
• Package, test, and deploy applications across multiple environments
• Support patching, updates, and version control for Windows systems
• Troubleshoot deployment failures and resolve configuration issues
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to ensure deployments meet compliance and security standards
• Maintain deployment documentation, standards, and runbooks
• Participate in continuous improvement of deployment and automation processes

Profile

• Proven experience as a Deployment Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role
• Strong expertise in Windows OS (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)

• Hands-on experience with deployment tools such as:

• SCCM / MECM
• Intune / Autopilot
• MDT
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user/device management
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments
