IT Systems Administrator

An IT Systems Administrator is sought by an established High-Tech Company to set up, maintain and troubleshoot networks and infrastructure; undertake backup and disaster recovery – ensuring secure reliable systems as well as providing 1st and 2nd line support. On-site working required.

Applicants are sought from IT Systems Administrators who ideally hold a relevant IT Certification, who have proven experience of working in an IT Support role which involves Linux based systems and who have strong communication and documentation skills.

The IT Systems Administrator should bring the following skills and experience:

  • Networking and Infrastructure set-up, maintenance and upgrading.
  • Administration of Active Directory and user security policies.
  • Back-up and disaster recovery.
  • Incident Management and first line support.
  • Supporting Linux based infrastructure.
  • Software installation and configuration.
  • Excellent documentation skills.

In this role the successful IT Systems Administrator will install, configure and maintain software, hardware, network and application components of the company IT systems. Bringing good diagnosis and troubleshooting skills to resolve software, hardware and network issues as well as ensuring proper and secure storage and backup of data as well as enforcing security best practices to prevent cyber attacks.
