Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Power BI Developer to join a growing technology business in the Crawley area on a permanent basis.

This role would suit someone who has an analytical mindset with commercial experience in data analysis and reporting. You will be working alongside the IT Applications team and liaise with all other departments within the business and supporting them with regular reporting needs.

Your duties will include:

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting for finance, sales and other operational stakeholders
• Develop reporting-ready datasets using SQL (views, transformations, joins, performance tuning)
• Design and maintain the Power BI semantic model (relationships, measures, calculation logic, data quality checks)
• Use Power Query, Dataflows and other tools to shape, standardise and integrate data from multiple sources
• Work with data owners and stakeholders to define KPI standards and improve reporting consistency
• Support users through the rollout and adoption of new dashboards (training, iteration, feedback)
• Contribute to reporting governance, lifecycle and catalogue management (existing processes already in place)
• Collaborate with SAP and SQL specialists to understand source structures and improve reporting outcomes (SAP HANA knowledge beneficial but not required)

Key requirements:

• Strong Power BI development experience (semantic modelling + DAX)
• Strong SQL skills (MS SQL / SAP HANA SQL preferred)
• Experience shaping and integrating data using Power Query / dataflows
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into reporting solutions
• Experience manipulating large quantities of data and identifying outliers and partners in the data
• Experience reporting on ERP data i.e. currency conversions, profitability, VAT, etc
