Our client, a well-established organisation based in Neath, is seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on IT role, enjoys problem-solving, and can support a range of users and systems in a busy environment.  Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide on-site IT support to staff across office and production environments.
• Manage and maintain the organisation’s network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with data protection and security policies.
• Oversee and resolve queries through the internal ticketing system.
• Support and maintain IT hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues effectively.
• Install, configure, and manage software in line with organisational requirements.
• Deliver user training on new systems and IT equipment.
• Plan and coordinate updates, maintenance, and system improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, incidents, and updates.
• Identify and suggest enhancements to IT procedures and processes.
• Contribute to ongoing IT development and innovation within the business.
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance with corporate principles and values.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of HP/Cisco networking solutions, including switches and virtual environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and related applications, with the ability to adapt quickly to industry-specific software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and support users at all levels.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in investigating and monitoring network incidents.
