Management Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently working with an advanced technology business based in Newbury to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This global organisation operates across multiple sectors, and the successful candidates will be responsible for managing 3 separate business units all based in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working close to the business and making a visible impact.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate management information, insightful analysis, and strong financial control across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts with high-quality analysis and commentary
- Balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies
- Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Monitoring projects for revenue recognition compliance and monthly valuations
- Inventory valuation, reporting, controls, and annual stock counts
- Performance tracking against budgets and forecasts
- Sales, orders, margin, and 80/20 analysis
- Operational KPI reporting (e.g. DSO, working capital metrics)
- Supporting weekly and monthly performance reporting
- Reviewing and approving RFQs and orders to ensure margin alignment with business plans
- Developing financial models to support decision-making and commercial insight
- Supporting annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Maintaining strong financial controls, processes, and data integrity
Key skills / experience
- CIMA or ACCA qualified / finalist (or qualified by experience)
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Excellent Excel skills (complex formulas, data analysis, reporting)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous improvement mindset
This is a permanent Management Accountant role based in Newbury with a salary up to £55k plus good benefits. Ideally the role will be fully office based but there could be an option for some hybrid working after a settling in period.
