Finance Manager

We are supporting an early-stage, founder-led fintech operating in the hospitality sector. Following a recent Series A raise, the business is entering an exciting scale-up phase and is now looking to appoint its first senior finance hire.
This is a confidential search for a hands-on Senior Finance Manager who will take full ownership of the finance function and work closely with the founders and leadership team as the business grows.
The RoleThis is a genuinely hands-on, one-person finance function. You will be responsible for everything from day-to-day finance operations through to forecasting, modelling, and Board-level reporting.
The role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail, building structure where needed, and operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ownership of the end-to-end finance function
- Month-end close, management accounts and reconciliations
- Cashflow management and forecasting
- Payroll processing, expenses and day-to-day finance operations
- Budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning
- Building and maintaining financial models to support growth and decision-making
- Supporting lender reporting and compliance where required
- Preparing information for Board and investor reporting
- Liaising with external accountants on statutory accounts and compliance
- Improving processes and controls as the business scales
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong hands-on experience across month-end, cashflow, payroll and controls
- Comfortable building and owning forecasts and financial models
- Experience working in a small business, scale-up or entrepreneurial environment
- Confident operating as a standalone finance function
- Low ego, high integrity: happy processing payroll one day and presenting to the Board the next
