IT Operations Technician

This position as an IT Operations Technician involves providing support for technology systems within the professional services industry. The role is based in Aldridge and requires a detail-oriented individual to manage and maintain IT operations effectively.

Description

* Imaging of Windows devices

* Identifying and resolving hardware related issues with devices

* Control of stock in and stock out ensuring everything is recorded

* Oversee any equipment being repaired by warranty

* Asset management of devices

* Ensuring all tickets are updated with the relevant information

* To keep the workspace tidy and clean

* To assist the engineers when required with onsite work

* To support the wider IT function with assistance with project work

* Administrative duties to ensure the workshop is well run

* Other duties as and when required to support the IT daily function.

* Working with and supporting other teams within the IT department such as remote support and 3rd line infrastructure on a day today and ad hoc project basis.

* Assisting with maintenance of the Field van fleet

Profile

A successful IT Operations Technician should have:

• Previous experience within the IT industry, preferably in procurement or operations
• Self-starter with a "hands-on and flexible approach"
• Basic knowledge of IT is required
• Ability to use initiative
• Works well within a team
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to provide a high level of customer care to staff and clients
