Enterprise Architect
Role Overview - 12 month contract
The Enterprise Architect will define and own the target-state architecture, ensuring all technology decisions support the strategic, operational, and regulatory requirements of the new standalone organisation. Working in close partnership with Infrastructure, Applications, Cyber/Security, Data, and Network Architects—as well as senior business leaders—the role will shape a cohesive, scalable, secure, and future-ready architecture landscape. The Enterprise Architect will also steer architectural decision-making across the separation programme, ensuring consistency, compliance, and maximum value for investment. Collaboration with selected systems integrators and third-party software and service providers will be essential.
Requirements
- Extensive architectural expertise within a highly integrated Oracle Fusion environment
- Strong governance leadership across senior stakeholder groups
- Proven ability to operate at senior management level, engaging effectively with C-suite and director-level stakeholders
- Hands-on experience leading architecture work in carve-outs, divestitures, M&A integrations, or major enterprise transformations
- Ability to balance competing priorities, drive accountability, and deliver outcomes under significant pressure
Experience
- 15+ years in enterprise or solution architecture
- 3+ years in carve-outs, M&A integration, or ERP implementation environments
- Demonstrated success in simplifying and rationalising legacy technology landscapes
- Proven capability to influence Board-level executives and senior IT leadership
- Track record of leading multi-million-pound programmes (£50m+)
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous settings, including multiple interim or contract assignments (average duration >10 months)
