About the role:

Bield are looking for an enthusiastic Technology Support Apprentice to join the IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in IT support who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive, values-driven organisation.

You will provide first-line technical support to colleagues across the organisation, helping to ensure IT systems run smoothly and users receive a high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing first-line telephone, email and face-to-face IT support to users
  • Triaging, logging and prioritising incidents via the Service Desk
  • Monitoring ticket queues and ensuring issues are responded to and resolved within agreed SLAs
  • Escalating IT issues to other members of the IT team where appropriate
  • Working with external suppliers to resolve incidents when required
  • Carrying out daily system maintenance checks and departmental administration tasks
  • Supporting desktop PCs, laptops and smartphones
  • Deploying and upgrading equipment as requested
  • Providing support for a wide range of software used across the organisation
  • Creating user guides and FAQ/knowledge base documentation

Desirable skills:

  • A genuine interest in providing IT support
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop environments and other Microsoft products
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good time-keeping and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an IT team and contribute added value to the organisation

Salary: £22,932 per annum

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
