Computing Lecturer

• Hourly Rate: £25-£30 per hour including holiday pay 
• Location: Lincoln 
• Job Type: Temporary, Part-time (up to 24 hours per week)

Reed FE are working with a College in Lincoln and are seeking an enthusiastic Computing Lecturer to join the team, delivering high-quality teaching to students pursuing IT-related qualifications. This role involves focusing on BTEC Level 2 Support Technician and BTEC Level 3 IT for both Year 1 and Year 2, covering both examined and non-examined units. This position may evolve into long-term cover, including responsibilities for assessment, though lesson planning is largely in place with most units prepared on our learning platform.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students studying BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 IT courses.
• Cover both examined and non-examined units, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
• Utilise our learning platform to access and deliver pre-prepared teaching materials.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching IT or related subjects is preferred, but newly qualified teachers/lecturers will be considered and supported.
• Ability to teach BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 IT courses.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in IT education.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
