IT Project Coordinator - Windows 11 Refresh
Sector: Local Government Project: Windows 11 Desktop Refresh Rate: £350 per day IR35: Inside IR35 Contract: 3 months Start: Immediate Working pattern: Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
Role OverviewA Local Government organisation is seeking a hands on IT Project Support Coordinator to support the delivery of a Windows 11 desktop refresh programme.
This is an operational coordination role, not a technical engineering position. The focus is on scheduling, deployment logistics, data accuracy, user engagement and issue tracking across a multi site rollout.
You will own the day to day operational workload, ensuring the deployment runs smoothly and allowing senior leadership to focus on governance, risk and decision making.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate deployment schedules across users and locationsMaintain accurate trackers, inventories, logs and deployment dataManage user communications around bookings, device swaps and changesSupport rollout logistics including hardware readiness and validationTrack issues, actions and dependencies and escalate where requiredWork with engineers, service desk, suppliers and business usersSupport progress reporting and deployment updates
Essential Skills and ExperienceStrong project support or coordination experience on IT projectsProven experience supporting desktop refreshes, OS migrations or device rolloutsExcellent organisational and administrative skillsConfident using spreadsheets, trackers and deployment dataStrong user facing communication skillsAble to manage workload independently with high attention to detail
Desirable SkillsFamiliarity with Windows 10 or Windows 11 environmentsExposure to desktop hardware and peripheralsExperience using service desk tools such as ServiceNowExperience producing user communications or deployment guidanceExperience working in Local Government or multi site organisations
