Job Responsibilities/Objectives
We are seeking a skilled cable engineer to join our dynamic team, working on the FTTH/Openreach network. This role involves hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fibre optic cabling across various sites. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil works and fibre cabling, with a willingness to travel across Essex, London, and surrounding areas.
- Working as part of a team delivery PIA Installation works
- Rodding and Roping, Fibre blowing
- Heavy cable pulling and Installing Fibre Optic Cables
- OH/UG Fibre installations on the FTTH/Openreach network
- Worked with UTP, Fibre, CATV.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Safety at Street Works and Road Works (Code of Practice).
- Site set-up responsibility, with NRSWA compliance. Supervise any Traffic Management requirements.
- Understand Permits/Noticing Requirements and ensure these are adhere to.
- Be able to read schematics and prepare as-build drawings.
