Business Analyst

Business Analyst (SaaS)

Salary: up to £55,000

Location: Manchester (on-site, 5 days per week)

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and analysis. Whether you're a Business Analyst with a strong product mindset or a Product Owner who thrives on requirements, processes, and insight, this is an opportunity to help shape fast-growing SaaS products in a competitive market, including eCommerce-focused platforms and integrations.

The Role

You'll be embedded within cross-functional product teams based in the Manchester office, working on-site five days a week. Partnering closely with stakeholders, designers, and engineers, you'll own requirements from discovery through to delivery, ensuring the right problems are being solved at the right time. You'll translate product and business strategy into clear, actionable outcomes that drive user adoption and commercial value across SaaS, eCommerce, and Salesforce-integrated environments.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document detailed business and product requirements across SaaS and eCommerce products
  • Write clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog in line with business goals and user needs
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered to a high standard
  • Conduct competitor, market, and user analysis to inform product decisions
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, including commercial and sales-facing teams
  • Identify and recommend improvements to product and delivery processes
  • Track delivery progress and support roadmap planning and reporting

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner within a SaaS environment, ideally with exposure to eCommerce products
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance technical detail with commercial, sales, and user considerations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience managing backlogs and documenting requirements using modern tools
  • Exposure to Salesforce (Sales, Service, or Commerce Cloud) and working within integrated systems
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with a problem-solving mindset
