Technical Project Consultant
We’re looking for a Technical Project Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of technical solutions led primarily by third-party suppliers. You’ll sit at the intersection of project delivery and technical design—ensuring solutions meet business needs, align with architectural and security standards, and are delivered to time and quality.
This role requires enough technical depth to confidently engage in design discussions, review and challenge supplier proposals, and make informed delivery decisions, while suppliers handle build and configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate end-to-end project plans, schedules, and dependencies
- Act as the technical point of contact for supplier-led delivery
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on solution design
- Review and challenge supplier designs and technical documentation
- Ensure solutions align with internal architecture, security, and operational standards
- Facilitate design workshops, technical discussions, and project meetings
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes (RAID)
- Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and delivery reporting
- Coordinate with internal teams to support delivery and transition into operations
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or technical project roles
- Proven involvement in solution design with third-party suppliers
- Confidence participating in technical discussions and design reviews
- Working knowledge of hybrid infrastructure and cloud platforms
- Strong stakeholder management, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a complex, multi-supplier environment
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid)
- Understanding of identity, networking, storage, backup, and resilience concepts
- Awareness of security principles and secure-by-design practices
- Experience working within architectural governance or design approval frameworks
