We’re partnering with a high-growth, cross-border fintech payments company to appoint an experienced Programme Director on a contract basis. This is a senior delivery role, leading complex, multi-workstream programmes at the heart of a global payments platform.

This programme sits at the core of the company’s growth strategy and is focused on transforming how the business operates, scales and delivers value globally. It spans technology modernisation, operating model change, process digitisation, regulatory enablement and product evolution across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful Programme Director will act as the bridge between business strategy and execution, owning the transformation end-to-end and ensuring measurable outcomes rather than just delivery of technology.

Responsibilities of the Programme Director (Fintech)

• Lead the end-to-end business-led transformation, aligning strategy with execution
• Define and govern the programme roadmap and delivery model
• Oversee multiple interdependent workstreams across technology and core business functions
• Partner with executive leadership to set success metrics and realise benefits
• Manage complex cross-border dependencies across teams and vendors
• Drive delivery at pace while maintaining regulatory and operational control
• Own programme-level risk, escalation, and decision-making

Requirements for the Programme Director (Fintech)

• Extensive experience leading large-scale digital transformations in fintech, payments, or financial services
• Strong knowledge of cross-border payments or high-volume financial platforms
• Proven delivery across both business and technology change
• Experience operating in regulated, multi-jurisdictional environments
• Senior stakeholder and governance leadership capability
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous settings
