Business Operations Analyst
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Operations Analyst to work for our client within the consultancy sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Telford.
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Operations Analyst to join their global Systems Integrator client. This is an exciting opportunity to support senior leaders, drive operational excellence, and help shape strategic delivery across multiple Practices. As a key member of the Operations Team, you’ll work closely with the Business Operations Partner to improve efficiency, strengthen governance, and enhance the overall performance of Practice operations. You’ll build strong relationships, anticipate needs, and help ensure the seamless delivery of services, tools, and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support the alignment of business operations with organisational strategy, ensuring consistency across Practice functions.
- Contribute to governance frameworks, reporting standards, and communication processes to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Identify and drive continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance services and streamline operational workflows.
- Assist with financial planning, including forecasting, budgeting, tracking, and performance reporting.
- Manage RAID items (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and contribute to risk-mitigation strategies.
- Support resource planning activities, including recruitment coordination and capacity management.
- Provide operational support for HR-related processes, onboarding, and internal Practice administration.
- Act as an operations liaison, ensuring smooth issue resolution and alignment with business priorities.
- Demonstrable experience in business operations, financial management, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solver with a continuous-improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse data, produce meaningful insights, and support strategic decision-making.
- Experience working within structured governance frameworks and producing high-quality reporting.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
