Group Finance Manager - North Leeds - Hybrid

I am delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a newly created Group Finance Manager position working for a high growth, forward thinking private equity backed Tech SME in Leeds!The business have grown significantly over the last 3 years, and as a result of their most recent growth trajectory, and further plans over the next 18 months, they are now looking to bring in an experienced Group Finance Manager into a newly created role to work closely with the Head of Finance.The role will be responsible for ensuring the compliance, integrity, and effectiveness of the Group Finance function acting as a key partner in the Finance function. You will have ownership of the end-to-end group reporting process and forms the bridge between operational accounting and strategic financial management and business partnering, enabling informed decision-making, investor confidence, and regulatory compliance across the group.**The role would be ideally suited to someone ACA/ACCA qualified in practice, looking for their 2nd or 3rd move in industry with a growing PE backed SME**The key duties of this role will include:
  • Own the monthly and annual group financial close and consolidation process over local and overseas group entities, ensuring the timely and accurate production of group management information.
  • Own the integrity and accuracy of Group’s balance sheet reconciliations and ancillary reporting controls.
  • Ensure compliance with both Group’s financial accounting and internal control policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Support the preparation of financial reporting to investors, lenders, and other third parties.
  • Responsible as the primary operational contact for external auditors and tax advisors
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of Corporation Tax returns, VAT and sales tax returns
  • Prepare and maintain group cashflow forecasts.
  • Provide analysis and reporting to support liquidity management, funding requirements, and other treasury-related decision making.
  • Lead, line manage, and support the development of a small  
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and reduce reporting risks.
  • Support system improvements, automation initiatives, and finance transformation projects.
The successful candidate will:
  • Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA – Essential
  • Have experience of group consolidation preferably across multiple currencies - Essential
  • Have knowledge of and the ability to practically apply recent and upcoming relevant FRS standards - Essential
  • Have a good working knowledge of MS excel - Essential
